About the founder of CROSSOVER Athletics:

Jesse Sarah Harmon

Jesse Harmon

Growing up I had a great family with a lot of love and support. We did not attend church much and when I would go, it would be with my grandparents. I remember the day they took me to FBC Lexington. I was nervous, but when I arrived I saw a friend of mine. That's all it took for me to stay. That summer at camp is when I accepted Christ as my Savior. I knew there was something missing and at the age of 14, I decided I needed a change in my life. I attended FBC Lexington and got involved in the youth group by going on trips and participating in activities. The summer before my senior year we went back to the same camp where I had accepted Christ a few years earlier. That summer I decided to go into full-time ministry. I left the next fall for North Greenville College to major in Youth Ministry. I transferred to CIU, where I graduated in 2005.

I began working at FBC Lexington in 2001 as an intern in student ministry. After interning while in school and working as a part-time student pastor, I accepted the position to work as the Junior High Pastor in May of 2005. The next spring God gave me an idea to try out a flag football league. We had this large field across the street from our church and I knew we could use it for something, so a friend of mine and I started up a league for the Junior High department. I remember the first day of games. Everybody wore their jersey to church and we had an exciting atmosphere that day. We had three teams our first year with about 45 total students involved. Since then we have extended our league to the senior high department and local churches. Last season we had six junior high teams, and seven senior high teams. We also got local churches involved and began to reach out more into the community.

At CROSSOVER we have a desire to see God work in different sports. We lead sports leagues, tournaments and clinics with Christ being the center of everything to help train your child or student to excel at their sport and in life. We use our tournaments and leagues to raise support and awareness about our passion to see God change the lives of people here in America and also worldwide. We pray that God will use this ministry to help develop sports ministries around our nation and around the world.
